It zoomed by without me noticing. Guess I was thinking about other stuff & listening to some Kool & the Gang. I probably hate “Celebration” more than any song EVER, but they had a ton of great songs: “Misled,” “Ladies Night,” “Fresh,” “Cherish,” “Joanna,” “Stone Love,” & of course “Get Down on It.”
Fabio had a wisdom tooth pulled. I’ll spare you the photo.
I began panicking about not having my new & improved tour website done. Panic = work, so I almost have the main page finished along with the cemetery walk page. It looks amazing… if I do say so myself [pat, pat] Still a few more pages to go. Naturally, I’ll let everyone know when it’s done.
To get into a better work mood, I’ve been hanging out at a cafe called Clásica y Moderna. It refers to literature when it used to be a bookstore, open since 1938. It remains in the same family today but besides being a bookstore, it’s a cafe, lunch & dinner place, & more importantly a great music venue at night. Highly cultural & just a bit seductive, Clásica y Moderna figures on the city’s list one of 37 Notable Bars in Buenos Aires.
Don’t think I’m going high class from now on. I just happen to live one block away. The façade is great as well, but the building is being painted so I’ll wait until the scaffolding is removed.
Yesterday I received a request to use the following photo of El Escorial for an annual report. The organization is called Europa Nostra & is a non-profit environmental group based in the Netherlands. Yes, my photo was a donation, but I get a byline. Yay. It’s not a great pic by my standards, but if they want to publish it, who am I to argue?
