Today I had a chat with the lawyer who’s handling my residency case. He said there would be no problem obtaining it once I have all my papers in order. The general plan is two years of temporary residence, automatic renewal for another two year period, then I can apply for citizenship. Yippee. Don’t worry, I still keep my US citizenship. Can’t ask for better.
