mine, all mine

Today was the day! One of those 717 resident permits issued in 2009 had my name on it! What an ordeal that turned out to be.

This is obviously backposted, but something very strange here… I can’t find anything that I wrote about the harrowing final step of the immigration process, the initial denial or a photo of my first DNI that did not have the word “foreigner” posted in big ol’ red letters.

DNI, Argentina, extranjero

Then again, 2009 was a big transition year for me. Line of Sight wouldn’t see a reincarnation until the following year, I’d take a break from working for Rick Steves, I started to date, I considered moving to Lisboa, Endless Mile was about to launch… with all that going on, I can understand why I might not have taken time to write in my journal or online. Surely I’ll find that story somewhere because that is a tale worth telling 😉

Stay tuned…
